Dr. Bill Smock is the full-time Police Surgeon and directs the Clinical Forensic Medicine Program for the Louisville Metro Police Department. He is an internationally recognized forensic expert and trains medical professionals, law enforcement and attorneys in the investigation of office involved shootings, strangulation, gunshot wounds, injury mechanisms and motor vehicle trauma. He has developed a nationally-known protocol for the Evaluation of Non-Fatal Strangulation in Emergency Departments. He will be hosting three 2-hour Grand Round sessions for staff and community members.
